Jenny Clay

Jenny Clay spent a year at Whitireia in 1999 exploring different forms of writing. This helped her take her poetry into a more public arena. Her poems have been published in Fresh Ink, Flightpath, This Twilight Menagerie, in Titirangi Poets and New Zealand Poetry Society anthologies, Takahē, Poetry New Zealand and More than a Roof; and on various ezines. She was runner-up in the International Writers’ Workshop NZ Kathleen Grattan Prize for a Sequence of Poems in 2012, and commended in 2021. In 2013 she won the Kevin Ireland NZSA poetry competition. She also writes non-fiction articles, and dabbles in fiction.
