Lynn Jenner

 

Lynn Jenner writes essays, poetry, non-fiction and hybrid texts. Her debut collection, Dear Sweet Harry, won the NZSA Jessie Mackay Award for Best First Book of Poetry. Lost and Gone Away was a Metro Best Book of 2015 and a finalist in the 2016 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards. After graduating from the Whitireia Creative Writing Programme in 2004, Lynn completed an MA and PhD at Victoria University and won the Adam Foundation Prize in Creative Writing. Lynn is currently working on a collection of poems, stories and essays about the construction of the MacKays to Peka Peka Expressway. In ‘Strike up a tune’, Jenner reminds herself that she knows exactly how to start chasing down the next thing.
