Justine Kingdon loves words, dance, song, her three children and artistic collaboration. She may be an accidental feminist. She is also working rather slowly on two books. One, a children’s fantasy, Nigh, and the other a collaboration with beautiful, award-winning photographer Esther Bunning, called The Patron Saint of Depression and Other Survival Stories. Her small business, Onwards and Upwards, affords her the pleasure of taking furniture others have thrown away and chalk painting, distressing and beeswaxing it into a new incarnation. There is, she ventures, a metaphor here. Somewhere.
