Hinemoana Baker

Hinemoana Baker (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Te Āti Awa, Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Tiamani, Ngāti Ingarangi) is a performer and writer of text and songs. She edited 4th Floor for several years and taught creative writing at Whitireia, as well as at the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University of Wellington. In 2014 she was the Victoria University Writer in Residence, and in 2016 she was Creative New Zealand’s Writer in Residence in Berlin. She still lives, works, performs and writes in Berlin and around Europe and is about to start a PhD at Potsdam University in Brandenburg.
