Vivienne Bailey is a Wellington-based writer with a background as a children’s librarian. Her feature articles have appeared in the Dominion Post, NZ Lifestyle Block, Heritage NZ and Kiwi Gardener. In 2016, she completed Whitireia’s Diploma in Creative Writing. Several of her short stories have been shortlisted for competitions and published in anthologies, including two stories for children. Recently, she won first place in the Top of the South NZSA Short Story Competition sponsored by Page & Blackmore, which was judged by New Zealand poet and fiction writer Kevin Ireland.
